Here at AXA, when you purchase our buildings insurance or our building & contents insurance, you can rest assured that we are here to support you in the event of many unforeseen circumstances.
If your roof has been damaged in either a storm or bad weather, or if a leak has caused an issue, we are on hand to help you through this emergency. It is important to note that if you have a felt roof, this must be less than five years old or have been inspected by a certified professional builder in the last three years for the cover to be valid in the event of any claims. It is also important to note that any damage to the exterior guttering is not covered by the policy. For more information on what your policy cover includes, please refer to your policy documents.

Am I covered for out-of-hours roof repairs?
When you take out a home insurance with AXA, the policy includes an Emergency Home Assistance service. If an emergency occurs to your roof and needs to be repaired quickly, you can simply ring our emergency home assistance team on 1890 253 347 and we will send out an AXA approved tradesperson to investigate and hopefully fix the problem, up to the value of €500 for roof repairs. This may only be a temporary fix, which needs to be permanently repaired at a later date that suits you.
AXA’s Emergency Home Assistance is available 24/7 and will not impact your no claims discount should you need to use the service. You can avail of up to four callouts a year at no additional cost!
