Life can be pretty hectic sometimes
In modern life, amid busy, demanding days, so many of us spend our time rushing from one place to another. From school drop-offs to work, meetings to appointments, after-school activities to play dates and from shopping to socialising – we hardly have a second to spare. All this racing around can really take its toll on our mental health, and it can be hard to find the time to pause and check in with ourselves.
Your car can be your sanctuary
For many women their cars have become a quiet sanctuary, a place where they can carve out a few minutes for themselves and grab a rare moment to pause, breathe, regroup and reset before the next task or activity.
We believe that taking a moment to yourself is something that should be encouraged and supported. That’s why we’re offering women a chance to park their problems for a while and take a little time for themselves for a change.
Park your problems for a while on us
In Ireland, over 51% of women are affected by mental health issues, and we want to help. That’s why we’ve partnered with Q-Park. On Friday 8th August, we will be taking over the Q-Parks across Ireland. We will cover the first 51 minutes of parking for anyone who uses the car parks throughout the day.
Check in on yourself with AXA’s Mind Health Self-Check Tool
How you use this time is completely up to you, but we would like to invite you to pause and check in on your mental health with our Mind Health Self-Check Tool. It’s a comprehensive, online tool designed to help you assess and understand your mental well-being in a confidential and anonymous way. And it only takes 10 minutes to complete!
We hope that you enjoy this rare chance to focus on yourself for once and will continue to allow you carve out a little time for yourself each day. Small changes like this can make a big difference in the long run.
Being a woman shouldn’t be a risk
In Ireland and around the world, women are disproportionately impacted by risks, either because they are under-protected or over exposed: from health to business, from sports to education, from birth to adulthood.
Supporting women in every way we can
We believe that we all have a responsibility to do more to support women, which is why AXA is involved in multiple initiatives to help foster women’s professional and economic empowerment.
From our very own Mind Health Self-Check Tool, empowering women and supporting communities through our AXA Ireland Fund, to ensuring gender equality in our business leadership. We provide our employees with a comprehensive Health and Wellbeing Programme as well as helping female entrepreneurs who are struggling to insure their businesses and we will continue working to give women the support they deserve.
