Why do I need Van Insurance?
Similar to how car insurance is legally required, van insurance is also required for all van drivers who are currently on the road. If you use your van primarily for work each day, you should be looking for commercial van insurance to help protect against any risks such as an accident or theft. What are the different levels of Van Insurance cover?
There are three main levels of cover to choose from with van insurance:
- Third Party Only: This will cover your legal liability for injury or damage you may cause to a third party. This is the minimum level of van insurance which is legally required.
- Third Party Fire & Theft: This will cover your legal liability for any third-party injury or property damage which you may cause, while also additionally covering protection for your van in the case of theft or fire damage.
- Comprehensive: This is our highest level of van insurance. This means you’re covered for third party claims plus damage caused to your vehicle after an accident.
What type of van insurance policy do I need?
Here are AXA we have two different types of policies for van users to choose between, ensuring that you get the cover which best suits you.
Standard Van Insurance
Our basic standard van insurance includes cover for injury to a third party, including pedestrians and other drivers. You will also be protected against damage to other people’s property. Provided you hold the correct driving license, you can also be covered for third party trailer cover.
Premier Van Insurance
Premier van insurance includes everything which you would get with our standard van insurance, plus a range of additional extras. Our extras include protection for your no claims bonus in the case of a Fire & Theft claim. Under premier insurance, you can also be provided with a replacement van if your van is less than 1 year old and repairs will cost more than 60% of the vehicle value.
