Standards we follow
Our website is designed and developed to align with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. These guidelines provide clear criteria for making digital content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including those related to vision, hearing, mobility, and cognition.
How we ensure accessibility
We take several steps to help ensure our website is accessible:
- Accessibility is considered at every stage of our design and development process
- We regularly audit our site against WCAG 2.2 AA standards
- Our content is written in plain language where possible for better clarity
- We use semantic HTML and ARIA attributes to support screen readers
Accessibility features
Some key features that help make our website more accessible include:
- Alt text for images to support screen reader users
- Logical heading structures for easier navigation
- High colour contrast between text and background
- Focus indicators to assist keyboard users
- Responsive design that adapts to different screen sizes and devices
Known issues
We strive to maintain a high level of accessibility at all times, but we acknowledge that some areas of our website may not be fully compliant yet.
These include:
- Electronic documents created before 28th June 2025 may not fully meet accessibility guidelines. Future versions of these will be fully complaint with WCAG 2.2 standards.
- Certain aspects of our quote forms have identified accessibility issues, and we are actively working on enhancements to ensure they meet accessibility standards.
- A small number of pages on our website contain images that are missing alternative text or may have headings in incorrect semantic order. These issues will be identified and resolved.
Supported web browsers
Our website supports all modern mainstream browsers, including Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Safari, and Firefox. We regularly test our websites for compatibility across different device categories (mobile, tablet & desktop) and operating systems.
